Blastoffs

Masses of geese spend the nights in a couple of ponds. When the dawn arrives a few geese start calling. Within a few moments the sound of thousands of geese fill the air. One takes off, then another. Suddenly, the sky is full of geese. It seems a minute after the first one flies the pond is empty. During the day blastoffs occur if a group is startled by a predator.
